Eight GHS FFA Members “Empowered” to Agricultural Success

From October 29 to November 1, 2025, a group of students will be going on a field trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The students going on this trip are Bri Carr, Nora Wyant, Audrie Dozier, Chloe Simpson, Brenda Collins, Ava Durossett, Kaidynce Boan, and Kailyn Boan, with Agricultural teacher Mrs Bone chaperoning. These students will be touring Agricultural businesses, participating in leadership workshops, listening to motivational speakers, and meeting the National FFA Officer Team.

Some of the tours the students will get to go on include a tour to a honey farm, a prairie, Apache Sprayers Equipment & Technology. Also, there will be a career show at the convention, where there will be multiple booths with several professionals in agricultural businesses. The students will be able to ask questions to those people about their jobs and how those jobs are important. 

The team will get to listen to several motivational speakers that include multiple agricultural experts. Not to mention speaking to our National FFA Officers, and learning leadership skills from them.

After speaking with Mrs Bone, she spoke about how she's most excited about the career show, “You get to see different perspectives of the agricultural industry,” was her reasoning. She only hopes that there is no bad weather or other complications during the drive down to the convention.

In conclusion, the National FFA Convention will be a fun and informative experience. Teaching our students, and showing them the multiple options that they have for when they finish High School.
